Memories from Sydney

Hope you all had a nice Easter! We have left Sydney and are now in Cairns, which is a tropical resort area. Hot but not so sunny as of yet anyways.

We had a very nice last couple of days in Sydney. I think Sydney has been our favorite spot so far and we did so much but there is still so much more to see. We'll have to come back:)

On Saturday our friends that we met in Fiji came to visit. The Holmes family live about 2 hours north of Sydney and they came down and spent the night. 10 people in our little apartment worked great! We went to the Wildlife zoo and the kids got to pet kangaroos and koalas which of course was fun. But the most fun was just to play with Lucas, Meg and Molly.

On Sunday we had breakfast with American French toast and the Australian Easter tradition, hot cross buns, very good. Then after an Easter egg and bunny hunt the Holmes left and we took off to the Aquarium.

In the evening we met Lisbeth at the Swedish church for an Easter service and following that a real Swedish Easter dinner. What a great ending to our stay in Sydney.

The next day we took the train at 4.54am to the airport to catch our flight at 7 and now we're in Cairns. Right now we're going to do some home schooling (yes, we do that too:) and then we'll head out to see the town.

Hope you all are doing well. We miss you!
