Yesterday we went out to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the wonders of the world. It was amazing! We went up by bus to Port Douglas where we caught a boat right out to the reef.
There we spent the whole day snorkeling and the kids got over their fear of getting bitten or stung fast (it helped that we all wore very attractive:) stinger suits!) We all really enjoyed the beauty of the under water world. And we saw Nemo and his dad in their anemone!
They also had a semi-submarine that we went on to see even more corrals and fish. But the absolute best was to swim around and see all the beautiful creatures up close. Our family was the last ones out of the water and we really got our moneys worth out of the trip (which was not cheap!). Another very memorable day.
