We spent an afternoon at a Maori village in Rotorua where we saw kiwi birds, traditional Maori dances and lots of erupting geysers. It was nice with a little culture for a change to all the adventure stuff but we had to promise the kids some luge rides afterwards:)
All of Rotorua smells like something similar to rotten eggs due to the geothermal activity in the area. The smell is pretty bad at times but you get used to it. Won't miss it, though.
