About an hour with train from Brussels lies Bruges which is a beautiful little city very well preserved with houses from the 1500 and 1600's. We took the train there then strolled around had a great lunch, took a boat ride and looked in many, many lace stores before we returned back to Brussels. Due to Bruges being closer to the Ocean we enjoyed a little bit of cooler weather - very nice!
