We left Brussels early on Saturday morning and arrived with the Eurostar in London two hours later. It was very cool (and a little scary) to go for so long through the tunnel but now we've done it!
We went straight to my sister Lotta's place where we left our bags and went off to see London. I have to say, though, that we spent a lot of our day in the huge toy store Hamleys which the kids of course loved.
But the biggest thing this day was not the toy store but that Clara got her ears pierced. She has been waiting for ever (she thinks anyways:) and we had said she had to be 10. With just a month before her birthday (pretty much) Lotta gave her that as an early birthday present. Clara is a very happy girl!
We also ran into the "fuzzy animal club". This is a club that meets every third Saturday to dress up in animal costumes and have drinks. Only in London!!
We really like London. It is such a vibrant, fun city. We ended the evening with dinner at one of London's many Indian restaurants. Then Lotta and the kids took a taxi back to her place for a sleepover and Bob and I strolled over to our hotel. Life couldn't be better!
